Hand Tools & Carving

Attend one or all of this Hand Tool Cabinet series. Each session features skills worth knowing on their own, but also useful toward building your own hand tool cabinet. 

The Hand Tool Cabinet Series will run over the 2019/ 2020 season. Each of the three co-leads will offer their own design for a cabinet, with full-size plans provided for at least the smaller of the three. All three co-leads and guest presenters will be leading  the sessions.

The very talented Jerry Olson will demonstrate drawer making and the cutting of dovetails. Jerry is currently making a reproduction 18th Century Secretary with sixteen or so drawers. Jerry will also be showing off some of his beautiful tool cabinets and talking about how they have served him and what he'd do differently if making them today.

The meeting will be held in Methuen, MA, just over the border from Salem, NH. Attendees will like Jerry's shop, that is in his hydro-electric mill. The mill is accessed off Hampshire St. through an alley between “Bada-Boom Pub” and the sub shop. Parking across the street and in Jerry's lot.
