Metalworking Subgroup—Joining Metal

This is the first of two Metalworking meetings focused on joining metal,

1) Stick Welding (Arc Welding)   Anne DeMaria will be demonstrating and guiding members who are interested in trying it out.

2) Mig Welding with flux core wire and with using CO2/Argon gas   Peter James will be demonstrating and guiding members who are interested in trying it out.

3) Silver Soldering with a Mapp Torch   Steve Costain will be demonstrating and guiding member who are interested in trying it out.

5 people to each group for one hour then everyone will rotate to the next demonstration.

Everyone needs to have safety glasses, and if you have a welding helmet bring it. If you don't have a helmet send me an e-mail, we will try to borrow enough for everyone..

The meeting will be on 1) TIG welding, 2)Welding with an oxygen/acetlyene torch. 3) TBD  the date is yet to be determined
